OUR COMMUNITY PROJECTS

Volunteer Charity

Food Club

Food club is at the heart of our commitment to supporting individuals and families facing food insecurity across Newham and neighboring boroughs. We provide essential food supplies and household items to those experiencing financial hardship, ensuring that no one in our community goes hungry.

Our Food Club operates in a dignified, friendly, and inclusive environment, where people can access nutritious food while also receiving guidance, signposting, and emotional support. We understand that food insecurity often connects to wider challenges such as unemployment, low income, or housing issues — so we take a holistic approach, helping people find long-term stability and confidence.

Through the dedication of our staff, volunteers, and community partners, Food Club supports hundreds of households each month, reducing hunger and bringing hope to those in need.

Youth Program

Youth Club provides a safe, supportive, and inspiring space for young people to learn, grow, and connect with others in their community. Our sessions are designed to help young people build confidence, develop life skills, and explore their interests through a variety of fun and educational activities.

We offer a welcoming environment where every young person feels heard, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential. Activities include sports, creative workshops, discussions, games, and personal development sessions that promote teamwork, wellbeing, and positive relationships.

The Youth Club also gives young people the opportunity to express themselves, share their voices, and learn about important topics such as mental health, healthy lifestyles, and future aspirations.

Community Hot            Meal

Community Hot Meal (CHM) provides a welcoming, safe, and friendly environment where individuals and families can come together to stay warm, connect, and feel supported especially during the colder months.

Our CHM offers more than just heat; it’s a place for conversation, companionship, and community. Visitors can enjoy a hot drink, light refreshments, and take part in relaxed activities that promote wellbeing and social connection.

We recognice that winter can be a difficult time for many  from rising living costs to feelings of isolation so our CHM aims to bring people together, reduce loneliness, and create a sense of belonging.

A Supportive Hug

Women/Girls’ survivor of domestic abuse session

Through programs such as the Women’s Conversation Café, Parent Support Club, and signposting to specialist services, we help survivors find their voice, regain independence, and take positive steps toward a safer and more fulfilling future. Women and girls who have experienced domestic abuse often face profound emotional, physical, and social challenges that can affect every aspect of their lives. Many survivors experience isolation, loss of confidence, and barriers to employment, education, and stable housing. The impact of abuse can also extend to their children and families, creating cycles of trauma and disadvantage.

At Sphere Support CIC, we recognize that recovery and empowerment take time, understanding, and community support. Our work aims to provide safe spaces where women can rebuild their confidence, connect with others who share similar experiences, and access the tools they need to move forward.
